These terms are accepted when you apply to MISS 9JA™. Last updated: September 2026.

Terms accepted at application

Publication of your entry.

If your application is approved, your profile is published on miss9ja.com when public voting opens, and remains published for the season. Your profile carries your name, the state you are entering for, your age, the photographs and video you submitted, and your biography and impact story. Your standing appears on the public leaderboard throughout voting. MISS 9JA™ also uses this material across its own website, social media channels and season campaign. Publication is a condition of entry, because a public vote cannot be conducted on contestants who are not shown.

Never published.

Your date of birth, home address, telephone number and email address are not published at any time. Your age is published; the day and month of your birth are not.

Beyond the competition.

Any use of your image, name or story outside the season itself — in a partner's own advertising, on merchandise, or in a production not run by MISS 9JA™ — requires your separate written permission, which you are free to refuse without any effect on your standing in the competition.

What we publish about you

Entering MISS 9JA™ is public. A contestant who cannot be seen cannot be voted for, so if your application is approved, this is published on miss9ja.com and used across our own channels and campaign:

  • Your name
  • Your state
  • Your age
  • The photographs you submit
  • The video you submit, in full or as a clip
  • Your biography and your impact story

This is never published: your date of birth, your home address, your telephone number, your email address. We publish that you are 23. We do not publish that you were born on 14 March.

Before your application is approved you will speak with a named officer from our Office of Contestant Affairs on a short video call. She will confirm who you are and how old you are, go through this list with you, and answer anything you want to ask.

MISS 9JA™ never asks you for money. Entry is free at every stage. We will never ask for a bank account number, a card number, a BVN or a one-time password.
